YMCA Healthy Kids Day will be held on Saturday April 17th, 2010 at our North Branch location in Celina. Hundreds of kids, moms, dads, and grandparents will converged on the YMCA for fun filled activities throughout the morning....and it was all FREE!

The YMCA wishes to thank our 2010 Corporate Sponsors Grand Lake Health, and Mercer Health for their financial support of YMCA Healthy Kids Day 2010. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is part of YMCA Activate America, an innovative public health initiative of the YMCA movement that is making healthy living a reality for millions of American. By celebrating health and wellness of young people through a variety of fun, physical activities, YMCA Healthy Kids Day encourages kids and their families nationwide to stay active, connected and healthy. The YMCA Healthy Kids Day event is celebrated annually. Activities at participating YMCA's will vary and may include games, sports, health screenings and more.

NEW EQUIPMENT & UPGRADES

Our North Branch location opened its new Grand lake Health Services Wellness Center in December. The new Wellness Center consolidated all our cardio, weight machines, and free weight equipment into one convenient location in the north wing of the branch. The old cardio and weight equipment room has been converted to an aerobics studio, and the old free-weight room has been converted to a multi-use area for our martial arts, tumbling, gymnastics and other youth and adult programs. A special “Thank You’ to our friends at Grand Lake Health Services for their financial support for the new Wellness Center.
