FROM THE CEO’s DESK The YMCA continues its role as a valuable resource to the communities of Auglaize and Mercer Counties. Every high school swim team within our service area calls our YMCA pools their home pool for practice during the swim season and hosts their home meets at our YMCAs. Our North Branch gymnasium serves as the home court for the Wright State University Lake Campus Lakers Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball programs! The YMCA hosts annual Health Fairs in partnership with Grand Lake Health and Mercer Health systems. Our annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day celebration also sponsored by Grand Lake Health and Mercer Health and WKKI Radio 94.3FM brings area youth service organizations together to inform, entertain, and educate families on the opportunities and services available to them throughout Auglaize and Mercer Counties. Our scheduling changes we made opening up more family time in our gyms and pools have given families greater access to the YMCA facilities at times that were more convenient, making it possible for the whole family to spend more time together at the YMCA. This policy will continue so weeknights from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm are designated OPEN/FAMILY time at our YMCA’s. On behalf of our Staff and Board of Directors, I want to thank our members, program participants, volunteers, and supporters. Your involvement with the YMCA insures we can keep moving forward directed by our mission, guided by our values, and strengthened by our commitment to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
