WATER FITNESS CLASSES
Arthritis
Class This class is for anyone who suffers the pains of arthritis, immobility,
or flexibility problems. This program is co-sponsored by the YMCA and the
Arthritis Foundation. This is a FREE CLASS for our YMCA
Members. Hydrocise This class was formerly known as “Pounds Off in Water”. We’ve made
some improvements and updated the movements to a great total body workout
designed to get your muscles toned and your heart pumping! Most of this class
takes place in the shallow end with some work in the deep end. Water
Works This is a great shallow water class that provides an excellent
total body workout with minimal joint strain. This class replaces our
previous “Low Impact H2O class. Water
Fit This is a deep-water exercise program. A variety of routines and
exercises are part of this class.
Early
Rise Watercise! A deep end class for those of you who like to get your day
started off right. M.
S. Class This is a FREE class
provided by the YMCA for anyone suffering from Multiple Sclerosis or any other
debilitating muscular disorder.

SPECIAL
FITNESS CLASSES Fitness
Yoga This is user-friendly, fitness Yoga.
Our instructors are trained through the Yogafit
program which incorporates balance, flexibility, strength, and power as well
as maximum stress reduction. Relax and stay fit! Pilates Basic Pilates methods will be
introduced for sculpting long, lean muscles. Working your “powerhouse” or
center core muscles will firm abdominals, hips, buns, and thighs and improve
strength and posture. Yoga
/ Pilates Combo This is a combination of yoga postures
and stretches followed by core abdominal pilates
work and finishing with yoga stretches and relaxation. You get core strength
and toning along with yoga flexibility and power all in one great class! YMCA
Massage Therapy (South Branch) Now you can enjoy the therapeutic
benefits of a relaxing body massage. Beth Eber is
our resident Licensed Massage
Therapist. Just call our South Branch at 419-629-9622 to make an
appointment with Beth. Rehab
Water Exercise (North & South Branch) This is individualized instruction for persons recovering from
stroke, accident, or other medical conditions. This class helps improve
muscle strength, endurance, joint flexibility, and coordination. Tai
Chi Arthritis (Meditation
In Motion) South
Branch This class uses many of the same positions as traditional Tai
Chi. However the movements are modified allowing for the limitations that
Arthritis imposes on your joints. Stress reduction, relaxation and
flexibility are also qualities of this class. Wear loose fitting clothing and
comfortable shoes. YMCA
Healthy Mommies North
Branch YMCA This is a class for expectant mothers taught by a certified instructor which will focus
on strengthening the muscles necessary for pregnancy and childbirth through
the use of low-impact aerobics, water fitness activities, toning, stretching
and relaxation. A doctor’s release must be provided in order to register. YMCA
Personal Training Anyone who wants to make a change, whether you are starting a brand
new fitness program or simply changing a training program to something
different. We will work with individuals who want to gain strength, tone
muscle, or simply lose weight. Traditional and non-traditional modalities to
train, including weight machines, free-weights, cardiovascular machines,
stability balls, medicine balls, and thera-bands.

LAND
FITNESS CLASSES
Fitness
Mix A “Mix” of conditioning programs. A variety of fitness classes
such as circuit training, pilates, intervals, step
aerobics, sports drills, outdoor training, stability balls, and more are
included. The training is formatted to accommodate many different fitness
levels to enhance a healthy lifestyle. Kickboxing Kickboxing is
a high energy workout program incorporating blocking, punching, and kicking
moves in addition to weight training and abdominal work. You’re going to get
a lot out of this class! Body
Sculpting This is a great
workout combining 25 minutes of cardio with 25 minutes of weight resistance
training It is a comprehensive cardio and muscular workout. Join us and build
a better you! Kick/Step
Combo This program alternates between kickboxing and step each week combining
two popular workouts into one program. The kickboxing incorporates blocking,
punching, and kicking motions in a high-energy workout. The step is a medium
to high intensity aerobic fitness class using the step in different
combinations. Both include abdominal and strength training. Step
Aerobics This is a medium to high intensity aerobic fitness class using
the step in different combinations with abdominal and muscular resistance
training. Weight
Loss Challenge (Based on the best selling book by Dr.
Phil McGraw) If you want to
lose 10, 50, or 200 pounds this may be the class for you. Begin the new year
with a resolution to live a healthy new lifestyle. This class incorporates
Dr. Phil’s 7 keys to weight loss freedom. With accountability, support, and
encouragement we will help you through this lifestyle change making you the
best you can be! Purchase of Dr. Phil’s is not required but is encouraged.
You can stay after class and attend a class or our instructor will be
available to set up an exercise program with you. PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES BEFORE CLASS FOR WEIGH-IN. Have
A Ball Class Improve
muscular strength, flexibility toning and conditioning while exercising with
a large, inflatable stability ball. This program targets strength, balance
and tone in the core muscles (abdominal, hip, and back) while performing
virtually any exercise. Join us and “Have A Ball!” (Limit 12 per class) This is a FREE CLASS for our YMCA
Members. P.U.L.S.E. This is your traditional floor aerobics class including a warm-up,
aerobic conditioning with easy-to-follow floor routines, abdominal workout
and cool down. It’s a great way to get your cardio for the day. This is a FREE CLASS for our YMCA
Members. Circuit
Training You can get that third aerobic workout each week with this new
circuit class on Fridays. Cardio and weight work makes for a great workout! |

Family of programs. Martial Arts is an excellent way
to stay in shape, improve your balance and coordination, and for young
people, it’s an excellent character building skill. We invite you to come

The goal of Ironbear Martial Arts is to provide an atmosphere of respect, enthusiasm
and discipline for all of our students, and allow them to become confident in
themselves and their abilities of defense. Our hopes are that our students
may live long and prosperous lives and treat others in a kind and respectful
